Site Operations Manager

Full time

  • Senior role, reporting to the Principal
  • Responsible for site operations & maintenance, health & safety, and venue hire
  • Up to 50% ‘on the tools’ working with the maintenance and grounds team
  • Applicants must be carpentry qualified with ability to sign-off works completed on site
  • Able to lead Health & Safety at the school

Leading a dedicated team, the successful applicant will ensure the site meets all compliance requirements pertaining to building management and health and safety, reporting to the Principal and the Campus Committee monthly. There is a focus on ensuring the buildings are well maintained and the site operates efficiently, as well as the long-term asset maintenance plan and implementation to ensure operational and maintenance costs of the school’s assets are managed.

Given the current global pandemic this role must be committed to ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of Rangi Ruru staff and students and have a proven track record in managing organisational Health & Safety.

This role oversees and contributes to revenue via external facilities hire of the school’s buildings and spaces. A background in business development and/or relationship management would be preferential.

Working with a small, high performing leadership team you will take the lead on numerous projects and initiatives and be an integral part of the school’s success.

General Labourer

This newly created role is required to support the efforts of the Maintenance Team. Your responsibilities may include cleaning and preparing a work site, loading, and delivering materials, and using a variety of tools and machines. You will have responsibility for ensuring security of the site at the end of each day. You will help the Groundsperson, Caretaker and Maintenance Team Leader and other specialized contractors working on site.

The site operations team is required to operate on the hours of 7am to 7pm Monday to Friday and Saturday from 8.30am to 1pm. The role is guaranteed 30 hours per week work, with the ability to flex up for additional hours, dependent on work requirements week to week. Usually there will be more hours in Summer. We will discuss with applicants the role hours and their availability for days and times.

Our ideal candidate will be passionate about touch and will have a desire to support our girls to grow their skill, confidence and touch abilities. They will be knowledgeable about techniques and strategies which will best prepare our SuperTouch and Premier Junior teams for local, regional and national competitions.
