Academic Achievements 2004
The national statistics for 2004 results have been pleasing for Rangi Ruru. As a decile 10 school, our comparison with similar schools has shown us to be one of the leading schools in the country.
Rangi Ruru's results can be compared favourably with other school profiles, as part of the national statistics, released in May this year. Specifically, we have compared Rangi Ruru's results with those of schools throughout New Zealand of the same decile rating of 8-10. (see diagram below). We also compared our results with a number of schools, including successful girls's schools such as St Cuthbert's and Diocesan School , and found that our results compared very favourably. We congratulate the students who achieved such good results in 2004 and wish all students well for their assessments this year.

Scholarship was introduced last year, and although there has been some controversey associated with its introdcution we are delighted with the 11 students who gained 16 scholarships in 8 subjects! Of the scholarship successes, two were for Outstanding Performance, and were achieved in Japanese by Michelle Liu and in Visual Arts by Jessica Hood. Lucy Tyndall gained scholarships in English, Classical Studies and Visual Arts, a superb achievement. We have congratulated all students on their results and wish them well for their studies this year.
