NCEA Results 2009
Rangi girls' NCEA results for 2009 were again amongst the top in New Zealand.
Rangi Girls achieved outstanding successes across all subject areas. With 99.2% achieving Level 1 (Nationally 62.8%), 100% achieving Level 2 (Nationally 75%), 97.4% achieving Level 3 (Nationally 68.5%) and 97.4% achieving University Entrance (Nationally 62.5%) we are again absolutely thrilled for all our girls. Congratulations.



New Zealand Scholarship Results 2009
Excellent scholarship results were achieved again in 2009. Each year about 3 per cent of Year 13 students studying each subject at level 3 will get Scholarship.

Scholarship exams are separate from NCEA and are designed to challenge, identify and recognise the country's top students, and provide them with monetary rewards. Scholarship requires high-level analytical skills and critical thinking. 
In 2009 Rangi Ruru scholarship girls’ achieved a total of 62 Scholarships in 18 subjects by 38 students, including 14 with Outstanding Performance.

Accounting (3), Art History (2), Biology 8, Chemistry (2), Classical Studies (2), Design (1), Drama (1), Economics (2), English (8), Calculus (1), Media Studies (1), Music Studies (2), Painting (9), Photography (11), Physics (1), Printmaking (3), Statistics and Modelling (4), Technology (1).
Included in the above are 14 Outstanding Performance Scholarships. Outstanding Performance Scholarships are scholarships at the highest level. Rangi girls achieved these in Art History, Biology, Chemistry, Classical Studies, Economics, English, Calculus, Painting, Photography, Statistics and Modelling.

Key Individual successes:
Rachel Carpenter, Dux in 2009, gained 5 scholarships including three at Outstanding Performance level.
Charlotte Trevella, co-winner of proxime accessit in 2009, gained 4 scholarships which included 2 at Outstanding Performance level.
Four girls gained 3 scholarships each, 9 gained 2 scholarships and 23 gained 1 scholarship.
