School & Boarding fees are adjusted on an annual basis in November of the year prior.
For New Zealand Students
Annual fees 2010
- Year 7 to 13 Tuition Fees $15,200 (GST inclusive)
- Boarding Fees $11,250 (GST inclusive)

School and boarding fees are invoiced in ten equal instalments in January to October. Alternatively a fee discount is offered to parents who wish to pay the full year's tuition fees in advance by 20th February (discount applies for cash, cheque or electronic transfer only). The school offers a limited number of Scholarships. Boarding students may be eligible for a New Zealand Government Boarding Bursary, Travel Assistance, Secondary School Bursaries and/or a Secondary School Technical Bursary. Acceptance of Place Fee for 2010
Offers of a place at Rangi Ruru are made from July of the year prior. To confirm your acceptance of a place in the school for your daughter, a one-off fee of $1,000 will be required. Of this $1,000, $750 will be credited against your final account. The $1,000 is non-refundable if you accept a place and later withdraw before commencing.
For International Students
Annual fees 2010
- Tuition Fees $27,500 (GST inclusive)
- Boarding Fees $11,250 (GST inclusive)
A one-off, non-refundable fee of $1,000 will be required on acceptance of the school's offer of a place in the school (Confirmation Fee).
Annual International student fees are payable in full in advance as part of the New Zealand Government’s Student Visa requirement.
International fees are higher than New Zealand nationals as students are not eligible for the government contribution toward their education and international students require additional pastoral care services.
Rangi Ruru Girls' School is a signatory to the New Zealand Government’s Code of Practice for the Pastoral Care of International Students. Copies of the Code are available on request from the school or from the New Zealand Ministry of Education website at http://www.minedu.govt.nz.
