Annual Appeal

girlswalking-2009For over 120 years, Rangi Ruru Girls’ School has continued the legacy of its founders, the Gibson sisters. This legacy is a belief in the value of an exceptional education and ensuring that, whatever her pathway, every Rangi girl is well prepared for a fulfilling life.

Each year we ask you to recognise the contribution Rangi Ruru made to you or someone close to you, and to support the school and Rangi girls, current and future; just as those before you have done.

Through the Annual Appeal, we rely on the continued generosity of  families and friends to support our academic, co-curricular and enrichment programmes and to provide financial support to those with a demonstrated need. These gifts are also used to develop the teaching and learning environment for the benefit of both students and staff, now and in the future.

The 2010 Rangi Ruru Annual Appeal, "The Rangi Spirit", supports three targeted areas within the school: Scholarships, Sports (through the Hilary Orr Sports Trust) and The Arts (Visual and Performance). If you wish to support Rangi Ruru, but are unsure which aspect of the school, you can specify an alternative area of interest or leave the decision “at the Principal’s discretion”.

Thank you to all those members of the Rangi Ruru community who have generously supported the school’s Annual Appeal since its launch in 2003. Your support helps the school to maintain its proud reputation and strengths in an excellent, rounded education for Rangi girls.

clemency-2008Your gift to Rangi Ruru will impact positively on not only the individual student, but also the wider community; and not only for the short term, but for a lifetime. All these projects have the a direct and positively impact on the lives of the people who make up the Rangi community and enable us to prepare Rangi girls for the world of opportunities that wait them after they leave our school.

If you have contributed in the past, we sincerely thank you and ask that you consider giving again. If this will be your first gift to Rangi Ruru Girls’ School, we hope that the occasion begins a new and meaningful tradition for you. As a reminder, Rangi Ruru is a non-profit organization and all gifts are tax deductible.

We appreciate that individual financial circumstances vary tremendously. Annual gifts can range from $25 to well over $20,000. Whatever your circumstances and whatever your gift, we greatly appreciate your continued support and for making our school and our students a philanthropic priority.

Should you wish to discuss other ways of supporting Rangi Ruru, or to discuss your donation, please contact Principal, Julie Moor. Thank you for your continued support of Rangi Ruru and our students.

Kind regards,

Julie Moor                          Grant Close
