Rangi Ruru seeks to provide a place where diversity and differing perspectives are celebrated and people are known as individuals and where there is a strong sense of what makes a healthy society.

We are a community that reflects and celebrates the diverse beliefs and backgrounds of the individuals that make up our school community. The recognition, understanding and celebration of differing perspectives is incorporated across the curriculum, specifically in our Christian Living Programme, through guest speakers, overseas exchanges and events such as International Day.
The school recognises and reflects the diverse beliefs and backgrounds that make up our community. In order to better understand our futures, it is important that we appreciate who we are as individuals and as members of local, national and international communities.
Through listening and exploring alternative viewpoints, girls develop the understanding and empathy to see the world through the eyes of others and become global citizens. The recognition, understanding and celebration of differing perspectives is incorporated across the curriculum, specifically in our Christian Living Programme, through guest speakers, overseas exchanges and themed events such as International Day and Cultural Awareness Week.
We recognise the importance of students understanding what it is to be a New Zealander. We celebrate cultural diversity and the biculturalism of New Zealand through the curriculum and co-curricular experiences. Rangi Ruru girls are proud of their school (and Boarders') haka and our very popular kapahaka group.
International students offer an important dimension to our community. We value the inclusion of international students in the school and Boarding House, the education and experiences we offer them and the invaluable global perspective they offer us.
